Terms of service
The agreement between LineupUK and the barber or barbering business that holds an account.
Last updated 31 August 2026
These terms apply to business use of LineupUK. Creating an account and accepting these terms forms an agreement with us. Public booking clients have separate Booking Terms.
1. Who we are
LineupUK is currently a UK pre-launch service operated under the trading name LineupUK. The registered entity, company number, registered office and country of registration will be added to the company information page before paid subscriptions open. Contact us at bookings@lineupuk.com.
2. Eligibility and the service
An account holder must be at least 18, be acting for a barbering business in the United Kingdom and have authority to accept these terms. LineupUK provides a profile, unique booking address and, as released, tools for services, hours, bookings, notifications, cancellations and waitlists. The account shows which features are live.
LineupUK is not a barber, marketplace or party to the appointment between a barber and client. There is no public barber directory or cross-barber client pool.
3. One flat subscription
- LineupUK has one flat monthly subscription. There is no transaction fee, client-payment percentage or free trial.
- We do not use Stripe Connect, collect client deposits, process barber payouts or handle money paid by a client to a barber.
- Before payment, checkout shows the monthly price, billing date and whether VAT is included or added. Paid access starts only after Stripe confirms the first payment.
- Stripe stores and charges the authorised payment method. LineupUK does not receive the full card number.
- The subscription renews monthly in advance until renewal is cancelled. If payment remains overdue after reasonable retry and notice, we may suspend paid features.
During pre-launch, an account may exist before billing is enabled. That does not create a free-trial entitlement or a promise that every planned feature is available.
4. Cancellation, refunds and price changes
You may cancel future renewal at any time. Unless checkout states otherwise or applicable law requires a refund, access continues to the end of the paid billing period and completed billing periods are not refunded or prorated. Full details appear in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
We give at least 30 days’ notice before increasing the recurring subscription price for an existing customer. You may cancel before the new price applies.
5. Account security and accurate information
- Keep account, profile, services, prices and availability accurate.
- Keep credentials confidential and tell us promptly about suspected access.
- Use one account only for the barbering business it identifies.
- Maintain a current email address for service and legal notices.
6. Booking address and content
A unique slug remains allocated while the account is active. We may refuse or reclaim a slug that conflicts with the service, impersonates another party, infringes rights, is unlawful or is abusive. Where practical, we give notice and an opportunity to choose another.
You retain ownership of photographs, descriptions, services and branding you upload. You give us a non-exclusive licence to host, process, resize and display that content only as needed to provide, secure and promote your own booking page. You confirm you have permission to use it.
7. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, do not upload unlawful or infringing content, send spam, probe security, access another barber’s records, scrape the service, introduce malicious code or misrepresent another business.
8. Clients, appointments and cancellations
The barber is responsible for the service delivered to a client, prices, availability, appointment accuracy and compliance with laws applying to the barbering business. Booking clients can cancel through LineupUK up to two hours before an appointment once that feature is live; after that they must contact the barber. LineupUK does not determine or collect a barber’s late-cancellation or no-show charge.
Cancelling a LineupUK subscription does not cancel appointments already agreed with clients. The barber must contact affected clients before closing or suspending their booking page.
9. Data protection
The barber is controller for client booking records and LineupUK is its processor. The Data Processing Agreementforms part of these terms. Each party must comply with the data-protection law that applies to it. The barber must give clients appropriate privacy information and have a lawful basis for using their details.
10. Availability and changes
We use reasonable care to keep LineupUK available and secure, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, internet failures and supplier outages can interrupt access. We may change the service to improve it, meet legal or security requirements or release planned features. We give reasonable notice before materially removing a paid feature on which customers rely.
11. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or close an account for material breach, unlawful use, security risk or persistent non-payment. Unless urgent action is needed, we explain the reason and allow a reasonable chance to fix a remediable breach. You may close your account at any time and should export records you need before closure.
12. Intellectual property
LineupUK and its software, design and branding belong to us or our licensors. These terms grant a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for the account holder’s barbering business. They do not transfer our intellectual property or permit resale, copying or creation of a competing service from protected parts of LineupUK.
13. Liability
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, LineupUK is supplied as a business tool and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost goodwill or loss caused by inaccurate information the barber supplied.
Our aggregate liability arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the LineupUK subscription fees paid in that period. This limitation is subject to the previous paragraph.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We give at least 30 days’ notice of a material change affecting an existing paid subscription unless an urgent legal or security change requires less notice. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance; you may cancel before then.
15. Law, notices and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and its courts have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule that applies otherwise. Notices may be sent to the account email. Contact bookings@lineupuk.com.
